Happy New Year everyone!
I’m so glad 2019 is over. It was not a good year for me. There was a lot of negativity and I spent a lot of time depressed and anxious. I’m so happy to be leaving this awful year in the past.
I’m ready to move forward. I’m starting the year with a good amount of makeup. I got some makeup as Christmas presents, and I bought some things myself towards the end of the year.
Here are my plans for 2020:
- Wear lipstick at work every day in a seasonal colour. One of my non-makeup new years resolutions is to enjoy the seasons. I’ll bring that into my makeup goals by wearing festive lip colours throughout the year. In spring, I’ll wear light pinks. In summer, I’ll wear orange and bright pink. In fall, plums and browns and in winter, maybe a beautiful Christmas red!
- No more liquid liners. Over the last year, I used up more liquid liners than anything else. They dry out super quickly for me. I used to wear just eyeliner and it lasted longer, so I think it has to do with eyeshadow. Anyway, there are supper pigmented and great pencil eyeliners out there, that will last much longer and save me money.
- Make opportunities to wear fancy makeup. I have some fun glitters and dark lip colours that I just don’t feel comfortable in every day. I want to make more opportunities to wear them. I will invite friends out for cocktail dates, and things like that.
- 6 month no-buy for makeup products. I will not buy any makeup, at all until after June. I have everything I could possibly need. Lots of brows, liners, lipsticks, concealers and powders. I do not foresee needing to buy any makeup at all until well after June. Actually, I will also extend this to nail polishes and other beauty products.
That’s all I can think of right now!
