I love nail polish. At all times I have painted nails and a lipstick on. It’s just who I am as a person.
Lately I’ve been doing a lot of shellac at nail salons so my nail polish collection has been a little neglected. I filed off my shellac yesterday so that I could finally use this pumpkin orange nail polish. I was afraid fall would be over and I would forget to use it.

I bought it when I was in Seoul earlier this year. It’s from my favourite Korean makeup brand, innisfree. The shade is called 49 노을이감싼하늘 (Sky covered with Glow). With two coats it’s the perfect deep pumpkin shade.

My nails are looking a little rough from filing off the shellac instead of getting it properly removed, but I’m not paying $10 for that. Isn’t this the perfect October nail polish?

Earlier this year I bought this essence top coat and I was actually really impressed with it. It was thick in a good way and very glossy. It was actually perfect for concealer bumpy nails because it was thick, like gel. Best of all it’s only $4.50 which is less than half the price of most top coats.

I guess it’s true that you get what you pay for because it quickly became too thick and stringy. It’s reached the point of being totally unusable and I had to throw it out. That makes me quite sad and angry because it was more than half full still.

Anyway I dashed over to Shoppers and bought this Revlon top coat. I’ve had this before and I went through the whole bottle. It’s a great and reliable top coat. It was $12.50 though.

The brush is like two little brushes together. It works really well. it coats your nail evenly in three strokes. It takes the usual amount of time to dry.
My plan is to not get shellac again until I go to Vietnam in December so that should give me a good two months to use some of my regular nail polishes.
