Review: Lush Bewitched Bubble Bar

I usually can’t justify spending the money on Lush bath products so I just use foam bath items and Epson salts from the drug store. I think the last time I had a Lush item was over a year ago.

Anyway, My (awesome) fiancé was in a good mood this weekend and wanted to buy me something. We passed by Lush and the weather is getting colder so I thought maybe a bath thing would be a nice special treat.

I picked this super cute Bewitched bubble bar. It’s in the shape of a black cat and it smells like berries! Mine is a little wonky but this is what it’s supposed to look like:

Bubble bars are a little different from bath bombs. Bath bombs are quite chalky feeling and you throw them in your bath tub and watch them fizz. Bubble bars feel more like a bar of soap and you are supposed to break them up and run them under the water.

What I like to do instead is sit in the bath and rub it all over like a bar of soap. When it washes off you it creates bubbles. It feels like painting yourself with coloured soap.

By the way, you really don’t need to use the entire thing in one bath. I learned that the hard way when I got my first lush thing. You can easily cut these into pieces and get 2 nice baths from it. If you also add Epsom salts or something else, you can even get 3. It makes it easier to justify the price (this one thing was $8 with tax!)

All the ones in the store had messed up eyes but I fixed it quite easily by just scratching off some of the black bits.

Will you be picking this up or anything else from the Lush fall and Halloween collection?
